Bread of Life Food Pantry

Jesus said to them, "I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never be hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." - John 6:35

Oldham county is the richest county in all of Kentucky, and yet there are people in our own back yards who go hungry every days.  There are nearly 7,000 people in our county who are food insecure.   Last year, people in Oldham county missed more than 1,000,000 meals because they simply could not afford them.

This should not be. That is why Grace and Glory has partnered with Dare to Care, Kentucky Harvest, and local farmers to work to eliminate hunger in our community.  Each month at the Bread of Life Food Pantry, we serve over 1,000 people.

Information
Bread of Life Food Pantry is open on Wednesdays from 10-1pm. Click here for our current schedule!

If Oldham County schools are closed due to bad weather, then we will be open the following Friday.

We proceed on an alphabetical basis through the pantry with a different letter starting each week. We use the first letter of the patron's last name to determine order. To be fair to those who arrive on time, please note that if you arrive past the time your name would be called, you will be re-called at the end of your designated hour.

Donations and Volunteers
Donations of non-perishable foods and monetary gifts are always
welcome. We have a bin available 24 hours for donations of non-perishable food. You can also give an online monetary gift using the button to the right.

We welcome those who want to assist in stocking shelves, distributing food, collecting contributions and a variety of other tasks. Please contact the church office at 502-228-0650 to discuss opportunities on how you can help.

Watch Us Grow
Thanks to some very welcomed and gracious donations, we were able to expand our service with the addition of a commercial refrigerator and freezer. Here's the work that went into preparing for the delivery.
